    LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
      Focus Ages

College

We're sure it's not news to you that the college years are a time of challenge, growth and HUGE life changing decisions. If you think you are experiencing a call to ministry, you're probably filled with questions. We, in Leadership Development, created this web page for YOU. It is our prayer that this site will be a resource to help equip you for ministry. We want to help prepare you, so when God says, "GO!" You're ready to be sent!

What should I do if I sense God's call to ministry?
What resources are available for me?

  • First, ask others to pray for you as you start your search!
  • Find a mentor! This is absolutely key to growing and learning how to serve in  professional ministry.
  • Learn about real life ministries. Take a look at  our list of ministry options to see what's out there and get your mind going!
  • Get your feet wet. Gain experience. Find a ministry near you that interests you and get involved.
  • A summer internship can further prepare you for ministry. Internship information is available here.
  • Find out what colleges and Anderson University School of Theology are offering to help prepare you!
  • Attend leadership and "called to ministry" conferences, like Leadership Summit in Washington DC.
  • Start reading up on the subject. Educate yourself. A few good ones to start with are The Ultimate Adventure Series 3 and 4 and First Steps to Ministry.
