So you think you're experiencing a call to ministry? Feel like you're too young to prepare? NO WAY! It's never too soon to equip yourself for ministry. Actually, we created this web page with YOU in mind! It's full of answers to a lot of the questions you probably have, plus cool links and more! We want to make sure that when God says "GO!" — you're ready to be sent!

What should I do if I sense God's call to ministry?

  • Discover your potential gift mix! Take a survey such as the Spiritual Gifts Inventory.
  • Link those possible gifts to a ministry area! Do you have a ministry that you can call your own? Get involved in ministry today!
  • Check out the FAQ's for young people for some help with this excellent question.
Experiment. Experiment. Experiment.   These are the days of discovery. Ask your pastor, youth pastor, or other key leader in the church for areas of ministry to explore hands on.
  • Job shadow a pastor or other ministry. Ask a pastor or other ministry leader if you can spend a day seeing what it would be like to be involved in that ministry.
  • Group of teenagersGo through the Ultimate Adventure series 3 and 4, which deal with key leadership issues.
  • Attend a leadership or call to ministry seminar. You might want to check out Youth Leadership Institutes offered in several regions for a place near you or plan now to attend the Leadership Summit in Washington DC in 2007.
  • Find a mentor. This is a person to bounce ideas off of and discover insights.
  • Ask for persons to pray for you. Select a group of people who will support you in this time of searching. Let them know your vision.
  • Start searching for colleges that offer the ministry training you will need.
