Living Link missionaries serving in the Africa region can be found below sorted by country. Online contributions in support of these missionaries may be completed in one of three ways:

  1. A one-time gift charged to your credit or debit card,
  2. A recurring monthly gift charged to a credit or debit card, or
  3. A recurring monthly gift directly debited from your checking account.
  4. A one-time mail-in gift.

As regional coordinators, Sherman and Kay work with national leaders and missionaries alike in facilitating the work already established. It is also their desire to see the work of the Church of God spread throughout the rest of Africa. The Church of God exists in less than a third of the countries on the continent of Africa and the needs are great.

Larry & LeAnn Sellers

 

 

Larry's ministry responsibilities include leadership development, church administration, planting French-speaking churches, and development of French literature for the church in Africa. LeAnn carries responsibilities in the women's work, literacy program, and Christian education.

Rebecca Pierce

 

 

Rebecca is the campus nurse at KIST, overseeing the campus clinic. This clinic serves the student body of more than one hundred students, as well as faculty, staff, and their families. KIST pays for the treatment of the students so that everyone can continue to go about their ministry of training pastors. She also teaches in the general education department of the bachelor’s program.

Don & Chris Smith

 

 

Don is the principal of Kima International School of Theology (KIST), a Bible college training leaders from six East African countries. Chris has many roles, including overseeing twenty students learning keyboard, developing a worship team at the KIST chapel, and overseeing the many work camps coming to KIST.

Ben & Kelli Shular

 

Ben and Kelli direct Safina (Swahili for ark), the Children of Promise program in Tanzania, which currently serves more than 640 children in sixteen locations throughout the country. Children of Promise provides food, education, basic medical care, and spiritual nurture. The Shulars also work closely with the Tanzanian church leaders.

Former Special Assignment Missionaries, Mike and Heather will be taking over for Caroline Ackerman upon her retirement. As the directors of the CHE program, Mike and Heather will be sharing the gospel, teaching villagers preventative health practices and assisting in community development projects.

Glenna's primary responsibility is the supervision of patient care in the area clinics of Nampunge, Kasubi, Kirongero, Busiro, and Mwanga, as well as any future sites. From a base in Kampala, she is also involved in medical outreach and public health education.

Tim & Colleen Stevenson

 

 

Being the Africa directors for Kinderhilfswerk has given them opportunities to expand building programs, well drilling, and sponsorship programs. Under Global Missions, they are overseeing the TAPP (AIDS) program and church development not only in Uganda but also in Rwanda and Congo (DR).

Tammie Tregellas

 

 

Tammie has developed a pastoral training program for the Church of God in the Zambia region. The Church of God in Zambia has more than 450 churches but just a handful of trained pastors. Currently, the program has forty-eight pastors taking part in the training.
