New Youth Editor Begins Work
Church of God Ministries

Kevin StifflerAnderson, IN—Kevin Stiffler is the new youth editor for Bridges curriculum. "Kevin comes to this position with seventeen years of experience in ministering to youth as a layperson and pastor," said Arthur Kelly, the Christian Education and Congregational Life coordinator for the Congregational Ministries Team of Church of God Ministries. "We have all been impressed by his writing skills, enthusiasm, and keen interest in editing quality material for the local church."

Kevin began his editorial work on May 10. As editor, he is responsible for the development and publication of curriculum for high school and middle/junior high school age levels.

A California native, Kevin was ordained by the Central California Association of the Church of God in 2002. He served as the youth pastor for First Church of God in Fresno for six years. Working with senior pastor Jeff Frymire, his responsibilities included teaching senior high Sunday school, recruiting and training adult volunteers, coordinating youth small group Bible studies, developing youth leadership and discipleship programs, ministering on junior and senior high school campuses, and coordinating monthly youth service projects.

Most recently, Kevin was building manager at Park Place Church of God in Anderson, Indiana. He is currently working toward completion of a master of divinity degree at Anderson University's School of Theology.

"Since moving to Anderson last June," Kevin said, "I had been out of youth ministry for nine months. When I saw this job opening I said to myself, that's where my heart is; that's something I can contribute to. I'm excited about being involved in national ministry to congregations. I love the church with all my heart."

Kevin's interests include gardening, weightlifting, backpacking, and drumming (we assume this means with drumsticks and not with fingers as he anxiously waits for overdue curriculum manuscripts). He and his wife Kristi have two children: son Kameron, age nine, and daughter Karli, age six.
