Annual Ice Cream Social Recognizes Campers

 With each scoop of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream, we said thank you. Every gift handed out was a token of our appreciation.
At the direction of the general director of Church of God Ministries, Ronald V. Duncan, World Ministry Advance strives to recognize the many partnerships that contribute to the effective ministry carried on by Church of God Ministries. The fifth annual ice cream fellowship held on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:30 was one small way for us to express our appreciation to the camping group.
The event started off with rain threatening and clouds hovering overhead. Before too long, though, the sun made an appearance, and the ice cream once again became cool and refreshing due to the warm weather. We were joined by over one hundred campers from sixty-two different camp sites. The voice of Kirk Bookout, master of ceremonies for the event and World Ministry Advance team member, drifted through the campground, mingling with the sounds of laughter and fellowship. Gifts bags were handed out to twelve different campsites. Cheri Thomas was the lucky winner of a free campsite, courtesy of Anderson University, for next year’s North American Convention.
Overall, the event was a great success. What made it a success, however, was who we were blessed to be joined by. Thank you, campers, for your dedication to the Church of God and to the North American Convention.
