Church of God Ministries announced today they have received a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to continue their partial funding of the Transforming the Culture, Sustaining Health and Pastoral Excellence (SHAPE) ministry program. The generous award of $827,104 is the second such grant from the Endowment to support SHAPE.

Since Church of God Ministries (CGM) launched, in June 2007, a cutting-edge Web hosting service to provide local churches with a cost-effective and user-friendly solution for their Web site services, more than thirty-eight churches have signed up to save money and streamline their Web-based communications.

The partnership that we often speak of reminds me that our connectional relationship is one of mutual covenant to be accountable to each other. Your state/regional credential leaders have accomplished their responsibility to give oversight and approval of your “minister or church in good standing” status. Church of God Ministries continues to fulfill its responsibilities for producing the official (IRS Approved) list of ministers and churches. However, some churches and ministers have yet to complete their commitment to register. Thus, I want to lift up to you the importance of our collaborative partnership.

Warner Press, Inc., will release large-print abridged editions of four popular inspirational books as part of its Fall 2007 lineup. The series includes James Gilchrist Lawson’s best-selling Deeper Experiences of Famous Christians and three books by W. Dale Oldham. The large-print editions are scheduled for release on October 1.

Warner Press, Inc., has just received the nineteenth printing of Worship the Lord: Hymnal of the Church of God. This puts more than 200,000 copies of the hymnal in circulation since its release in 1989.
