Argentina: Celebrating 80 Years
Church of God Ministries, Global Missions
By Bob Edwards, Global Missions Coordinator
At the end of the summer, I attended the eightieth anniversary in Alem, Argentina, of the founding of the Church of God in Argentina. The theme of the conference was “Iglesia de Dios en Argentina, 80 anos. ‘Ensancha el sitio de tu tienda.’” (The Church of God in Argentina, 80 years. “Lengthen the cords of your tent,” Isaiah 54:1–2.)

A New Home for the Hong Kong Church of God
Global Missions
By Patrick & Jamie Nachtigall
When we arrived in Hong Kong in January 2001, we were warmly welcomed into the Hong Kong Church of God (HKCOG). This dynamic congregation numbered about sixty people, with five cell groups and two married couples. Ninety-nine percent of the church was under the age of thirty-five. Pastor Edmund Leung, who was brought to the Lord in this church and put himself through seminary in order to serve the church, had a strong vision for the future of the HKCOG, and now we see that vision continue to be realized.

Stepping Out in Berlin
Global Missions
By Kelley Philips
Not long after Rhonda and I moved into the position of regional coordinators for Europe and the Middle East, I was visiting Germany’s national pastor, Klaus Kröger. We spent several days together talking about vision, and I learned a lot about the history of the Church of God in Germany. Global Missions
By Rev. Dorothy Colney, National Leader, Myanmar
In the last six years, the Church of God in Myanmar has planted twenty churches. One of the most fruitful and growing was founded by one of our full-time workers who used a local video hall to show the Jesus film. Of the two hundred people who attended, over thirty indicated they wanted to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.

Riding the Circuit: Educating Church Leaders in Cuba
Global Missions
By David Miller, Regional Coordinator, Latin America
The Church of God in Cuba has taken an innovative approach to preparing pastoral workers—by necessity. Scarce resources and inadequate transportation make it virtually impossible for men and women training for the ministry to attend classes in a central location. So Ms. Regla Pedroso, rector of the School of Biblical Theology of the Church of God, has become an itinerant professor.

Now Is The Time
Global Missions
By Kelley Philips, Regional Coordinator, Europe–Middle East
In the gospel of Luke, chapter 10, Jesus tells us the story of the good Samaritan. We’re all familiar with this story, in which a right-now, can’t-walk-around-this-one need is met by a Samaritan man.
