Events focus on study and service, fun and food

 Each year, the North American Convention provides a variety of opportunities for students to fellowship, worship, learn, and even serve others. This year’s youth events took place throughout the week, several of them seeking to unite participants across generational lines. Some of the highlights included:
- Student Conferences: Attendees discussed tools for studying and applying the Scriptures, focusing specifically on the call of Ephesians 4 to live out the love of Christ.
- Taking It to the Streets: On Wednesday, students ministered at retirement centers and nursing homes in the Anderson area.
- Youth-Ins: This year, these popular late-night gatherings included ice cream, a concert by Matt Lloyd, an outdoor movie, an evening of comedy with Joby Saad, and a night of worship with the IYC student band.
- Youth Leaders’ Discussion Table: Retired missionary Ann Smith challenged and encouraged youth leaders in their service of discipleship.
The goal of the North American Youth Ministries of the Church of God is to partner with churches to raise up a new generation of Christ-centered leaders. Youth events at the convention were directed by Andy Stephenson, leader of youth and family ministries for Church of God Ministries, and interns Christin Dawson, Josh Deeter, and Josh Wieger.
